UA/PL ALTERNATIVE MUSIC MEETINGS FESTIVAL

October 17 — Lviv, Dzyga (35 Virmenska Str.). Beginning at 20:00, admission is free.
October 19–20 — Kyiv, festival-restaurant Dyvan (2 Bessarabska Square). Beginning at 20:00, admission is free.

 

UA/PL Alternative Music Meetings is a platform for communication, exchange and inspiration for the music underground in Ukraine and Poland. The basis of the project is the formula of meeting of musicians with the audience, musicians with musicians, Ukrainian and Polish music critics with the influential people in the field of the alternative music.
This year's festival will be held in two cities – Lviv and Kyiv. Here will perform the bands representing innovative trends of the Polish music stage. The project Baaba feat. Gaba Kulka will demonstrate an outstanding vocal of Gabriela Kulka, virtuosic musical skills of other band members and a wide repertoire. Uncompromising pleasure from mix, the components of which are post-punk, noise, math-rock and even free jazz, will be offered by The Kurws. And at the end of the Polish program – drum'n'bass by 60 Minut Projekt.

 

In Lviv the Ukrainian ShockolaD and Sinusoidal from Poland will present a special project created for the festival. And in Kyiv will perform five finalists of the contest Neuro Music: Stepan i Meduza, Singleton, Uncle Tom The Band, КАКАХА and Marble Boy.

 

The initiator of the project is Centre for Art Actions FIRLEJ. The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland; the partners of the project are ArtPole Agency and the Polish Institute in Kyiv.
