ART MEETINGS FESTIVAL

KYIV

October 12 — Metropol (earlier Sullivan Room, Prorizna Str., 8), beginning at 18:00
The concert of finalists of Art Meetings contest — from more than 80 applications three band were chosen: Vinipuz Mob, Sleeping Bear and Мутафория Лили. The winner of the contest will get a chance to play concert on the one of the most important Polish festivals of alternative culture Asymmetry Festival, which will be held in autumn 2014 in Wroclaw. On October 12 in Metropol also Estonian laureate of Art Meetings contest — Sibyl Vane and leading bans of Polish alternative scene will play: Pustki and Paristetris.

 

October 13 — Muztorg Rock School (Verhniy Val, 66), 10:00–12:00
Music Starter Kit — workshop for musicians and promoters which will be held by one of Wroclaw’s most experienced culture animators Hubert Kostkiewicz. He is an organizer of concerts, engaged social journalist and author of posters. As a guitarist Hubert performs in the post-punk The Kurws band and the hip-hop Polaroid Android. He has been involved on ongoing basis in the famous Wroclawian Centre of Cultural Reanimation and Avant Art Festival. Participants will talk how to record first album and organize first concert, about strategies of looking support for art projects and ideas for its advertising. Participation in the workshop is free, but the amount of places is limited. For registration please write few words about yourself in English and send to artmeetings@artmeetings.eu

The first meeting of international forum Share the Culture that integrates cultural industry across Europe. To main themes — network cooperation in the culture and social networks/ mobile apps as a tool of attracting audiences — will be discussed by participants from Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, more about them here.
